Film Premiere of Alan Partridge "Alpha Papa" & that cheeky kiss! Norwich 24th July 2013

I feel so intensely proud of Norwich for holding such a superb, red carpet film premiere, for Alan Partridge, "Alpha Papa" filmed by Studio Canal UK. Although I was merely a bystander, I especially came out to show my support for the Arts & Culture in Norwich, appropriately attired in my Zulu Warrior Outfit with my trusty assegai & warrior shield, hoping to meet the man of the moment, Alan Partridge in person.

Alan Partridge blew me away with his charism, character and charm. When he came to greet his Norwich Fans - situated behind the barriers - and as he approached me, I asked Alan "Alan I am from Cape Town, can I have a kiss?" Alan replied "Yes!" and we simultaneously planted a cheeky kiss on each others cheeks! I was smitten and star struck all at once & as a gesture of my gratitude and appreciation, I gave Alan Partridge my Donna Africa T-Shirt which he graciously accepted!

It was an exceptional day for Zulu warrior poet me as I then got to meet the Norwich locals, who all wanted their photographs taken with me because they had seen me on TV in "Four Rooms" on Friday night, 19th July 2013.  Plus I got interviewed by Sky TV, SPG TV, interviewed by handsome reporter, Paul from "The Independent" newspaper and then filmed for a documentary for channel 4!

Phew, thank you Alan Partridge for holding your film premiere of "Alpha Papa" here in our fine city of Norwich. We Norwich Locals have taken an instant shine to you and into our hearts and I will definately be going to see your film!

With Luv, Light and Liberty,
Donna Africa aka Zulu warrior xoxox

Donna Africa Zulu Warrior on TV in "Four Rooms" Channel 4 Friday 19th July at 8pm

http://vimeo.com/76207728 Be sure to tune into Channel 4 "Four Rooms" Friday 19th July 2013 at 8pm, to see if I Donna Africa Zulu Warrior sell my unique African Artefacts or not! For full story just click on "More Details" below. Now available to watch on 4 oD Series 3 Episode 21
I began watching channel 4 "Four Rooms" over a year and half ago and found the TV series to be fascinating, intriguing and became an instant fan of the show! After watching the last of the series of that years season they advertised if you would like to sell your items to get in touch & email.

As I was struggling financially and needed funds desperately to self-publish my second Poetry Book I thought what can I sell that is both unique, desirable, magical and collectable? I then glanced over to my couch & my eyes connected with my genuine springbok (South African Antelope) hide circular rug that was draped over my couch and sitting idol and useless and thought "I wonder?" then I remembered about my antique African leather bound handle lion's mane fly swisher & amulet that had brought me good luck to perform my poetry performance act "Asimbonanga" at my Live X-Factor Audition last year in front of the Celeb Judges - Louis Walsh, Mel B and Gary Barlow and thought, my African artefacts items could possibly bring in a couple of bob and perhaps bring good luck to whoever bought them from me, of which I stated in my email and application form to "Four Rooms" to possibly sell my unique and magical African artefacts on their show?

I received a phone call and after a lot of questions about my items and what price was I looking at etc? I told the researcher how much I had paid for my goods and stated that they could indeed be worth something or nothing and I was ready to take a gamble and a leap of faith! I received an email that my items had been confirmed for the filming of the 3rd series of "Four Rooms" on Wednesday 23rd January 2013 at Duke Island Studios in London at 7am till 7pm and to sign the necessary documents and release forms. Because of the very early filming start of 7am my over night hotel accommodation was graciously paid for and I just had to find my own way to their studios based in London.

At that time, I was doing an arts project with NUA (Norwich University of Arts) student Emily Underhill and asked her if she would accompany me at her own expense, to gain valuable working experience of behind the scenes of TV filming of which she is studying at The Norwich University of Arts. She graciously accepted my offer and Emily make the necessary arrangements. I would just like say a special thank you to Emily as without her, I would certainly not have been able to find the place or have got there safely!

After successfully finding our Travelodge Park Hotel which was conveniently situated close to the studio, we then met up with some of my fellow London 2012 Olympic Games Performers for a lovely dinner and catch-up. That night I hardly slept a wink partly because of nerves but more so because the hotel building shock violently every time the tube went by! I awoke, well I was practically still awake at 5am and donned my Donna Africa African Zulu Warrior Costume with my ostrich feather headdress equipped with my unique African artefacts and feeling positive and enthusiastic.

Emily and I then set off walking into the dark freezing cold and alongside the busy highway and thanks to Emily's techno gadgetry we found ourselves outside the filming studios on time. We were greeted very warmly and my items were checked in and we made our way to the green room (which was later renamed and labelled "The Dream Room" as me being "The Queen of Dreams") where we met other hopeful sellers and participants. Tea, coffee and water were laid on and Emily and I seated ourselves on a nice comfy sofa. I was handed a print out of the days filming schedule and a detailed description about the dealers.

Eventually, I was called up for filming and was led to the set but first was seen by TV assistants who advise what was to be filmed and who I would see in that segment of filming. I was then taken onto the set for filming and meet the exotic beautiful Presenter & Host, Anita Rani who made me feel welcome and calmed my nerves. She asked me many questions and we shook hands and then I made my way to the famous LIFT - operated by human hands! lol!

Second Stage of filming - Greeting & Meeting "The Fab Four Rooms Dealers" I was then taken into the forum where my goods were displayed for the dealers to see and got to meet and speak to all of the Fab Four 4 dealers - Jonny Elichaoff (An Entrepreneur & dealer better known as Jonny "Too bad" referring to his failed marriage to Trinny Woodall ) Gordon Watson - 20th & 21st Century Design Dealer, Celia Sawyer - Interior designer and Alex proud -Photography Dealer & owner of Proud Galleries. As I got to hear, see and get a feel of who indeed was interested in buying my items.

Third Stage - Asked who I thought was interested in buying my items and in what order I would like to see the buyers in their ROOMS? I told them who I thought was interested and my room and dealer order. We broke up for lunch and what a superb menu the filming production company put on for us the sellers and buyers, consisting of steak, vegetarian and fish dishes and choices from their excellent 3 course menu provided by them on their premises. I was taken back, pleasantly surprised & totally impressed to be treated to a slap up 5 Star Lunch and great hospitality by all staff and filming crew of Boundless Productions.

After lunch filming commenced and off I went to see the dealers to barter and to try and sell them my African artefacts. My first Fab Four dealer was articulate & chatty gentleman, Alex in his room and he asked me "What do I do when I am not being extraordinary?" I then went to charming & knowledgeable Gordon's room and he said " He wished I had sold him my Performance Act as he could see I was a great performer as he LIKED me and loved me sitting pretty in his chair!" Then off I went to kind hearted and lovable Johnny "Too bad" who said "I must be feeling tired coming all the way from South Africa to the UK!" and I honestly think we had some physical chemistry / mutual attraction going on there!!!

I then realised this fascinating, intriguing must-see addictive TV show is not just about trying to sell your inanimate objects but more about selling YOURSELF because IF they LIKE YOU they will buy into you and buy whatever item you are selling!

I think You have to have the Like-ability Factor to be able to sell your items to these "Fab Four Room" Celebrity Dealers!!

To find out if I, Donna Africa aka Warrior Woman sold my goodies successfully or unsuccessfully then please tune into Channel 4 "Four Rooms" tonight Friday 19th July at 8pm!

Seeya on the telly!
