Sarcastic, acerbic & witty is she
Aptly nick named “The Queen of Mean!”
as she never puts her contestants at ease
in “The Weakest Link”
at Tea Time on the BBC!
A Superior Quiz Master is she
who daily graces our TV Screens!
Authoritatively dressed in black
with fiery Irish auburn locks
as she belittles & mocks
in her journalistic
& nonchalant talented way
as this regal lady in black
will always have her say!
A National Treasure is she
And we Brits would have no other
to grace our Tea Time Telly screens
as we know that this is all done
tongue in cheek
with jest aplenty and much fun
on the BBC One!
At the end of the Popular TV Show
the winner triumphant with all the lolly
Anne looks away announcing
“You are the weakest link”
with a wry smile,
and a cheeky wink!
It very much leaves me to think
that maybe you & I
could be the missing link!
I read some of my poem to Anne Robinson on her BBC Scotland popular show "The Weakest Link" which was aired on BBC TV on the 26th March 2012! Seeya on the telly! hehe! :)

In this Human Zoo
What do you do?
Whilst idly watching the
Human Race pass you by
racing blindly to their end
to just spend, spend, spend
When will all this madness
end, end, end…?
In this Human Zoo
I ask you do you
think this is true?
Their Soul goal & basic need
is to qualify their existence
and sow their seed, seed, seed
and feed on their own basic
greed, greed, greed…
In this Human Zoo
What do you predict?
As I grow so weary of it all
as I know like before
that it will all collapse
and fall, fall, fall
and bring an end to the
Human race after all, all, all…
In this Human Zoo
What changes can we make?
To set the Human Race Free
and to prolong their fate and
destiny, destiny, destiny
together in this Human Zoo
you and me, me, me…
In this Human Zoo
It’s not what you say
but what you do, do, do
that makes the difference
In this Human Zoo
So awake, awake, awake
from your deep slumber
and soon you to will discover,
discover and uncover
The light, light, light
that illuminates and
radiates like no other
thought the cold bleak darkness
of the night, night, night
So let the light in
and be your guide
forever and not just
tonight, tonight, tonight…

Woman in chains
07th July 2009
Written by: Donna Africa
Dedicated to: my sisters, Lyn & Krista and to Sisterhood

Shackled, cloaked & veiled is she
Shrouded & weighed down in her
heavy raven coloured cloak is she
Woman in chains
Of which has been created
& designed & she
is enforced to wear
Woman in chains
For all of society to bear
witness and see
Woman in chains
To remind her of her station
in life and to behave
Woman in chains
That she has been truly emasculated
& severely incapacitated
Woman in chains
By those around her
who are fearful & afraid
of her womanly charms & powers
that lie dormant inside her
Woman in chains
Who pretend to shield
guard & protect her
Woman in chains
Never knowing or feeling
true emancipation
Woman in chains
or to be a part of the free world
and society at large
Woman in chains
only knowing cruel, unjust
suppression & repression
Woman in chains
she has been raised to believe
that a woman has no rightful place
or say to freely express herself
Woman in chains
But forever being afraid
vulnerable & intimidated
Woman in chains
By those who closely rule
with an iron fist
and intend to govern
and imprison her
Woman in chains
It is all so transparent to me
as I see through your
humble visage & mask
Woman in chains
You can not disguise,
conceal or deceive me
Woman in chains
As I am your sister
whom you soon will discover
Woman in chains
The one who will unshackle
& untie you from your
chains & restraints
that bind & tie you
Woman in chains
and I am here to emancipate you
Woman in chains
in a world that has gone crazy
and no-one seems to care!
Woman in chains
