Another Day!

Dedicated to: Freedom!
Another day
Will I or you survive or die today?
What do the Gods predict or say ?
Everyday another number
tragically passes away!
We count our blessings
And say our prayers
Our freedom and liberty taken away!
When will we be free to have a normal day ?
To have the freedom to have our say?
I await that anticipated day
That you and I
Can have our say
Not to be controlled
Manipulated and led astray
That is the day
That I pray!
God Bless

Is this a Grand Design
that plays with our soul
and that never lets us go?
The clock that ticks
within ourselves
the count down begins
to our destiny and
to wilt and die
without asking why?
Is this our time to
bloom and shine
or is it simply just
the spinning wheel
turning, never being still?
Forever turning,
churning and
foreseeing all
I believe I see the rise
and the fall that
human kind
has devised
I do believe that
one day
Human Kind
will up rise
and survive it all!
"Time for change"

Dedicated to:
Time for change
Time to change,
Time to bend,
Time to mend,
No longer content
to sit and watch
on the proverbial fence
as time and injustices
passes me by
but to have my say!
Time I spent here & there
Time I spent that I shared
Time of discontent,
discord,
and great despair
as I look around me
I witness, see and
hear everywhere
and no-one seems to care!
Time for change!

I wrote this poem about the current situation in the UK and world-wide. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer and the bridge and gap is forever increasing. In today's sad world it is all about "Me, myself and I." This saddens and upsets me so I wrote about what I see and witness all around my world! www.donnaafrica.co.uk
